What to Pack for a Blogging Conference

July 31, 2017

Hey y’all! I’m super excited for this post because it means that my upcoming blogging conference is quickly approaching. In case you missed it, on Thursday morning I’m heading to Chicago for the Blog Societies Conference otherwise known as TBSCon. As I’m sitting here planning out what to bring with me other than the typical clothing, makeup, toiletries kinda deal, I thought I’d share what to pack for a blogging conference with y’all.

Find out what to pack for a blogging conference today on Breakfast at Lilly's.

What to Pack for a Blogging Conference

Laptop

Okay, obviously at a blogging conference you’re going to need your laptop so make sure you don’t forget to pack yours. I’m pretty sure I’ll be using mine like every single day of the conference.

All the chargers

Not going to lie, I have totally forgotten to pack my charger before so that’s why I added it to my list. You’re going to need to bring your phone charger, a portable charger for your bag, your computer charger, your camera charger, and more.

Business Cards

I ordered some business cards specifically for the conference so it’d be silly not to pack those. Having business cards is a great way to remain at the top of mind for brands that may be attending the conference.

Media Kit

Having some media kits on hand is a good idea too just in case a brand is interested. Better to be safe than sorry, I always say.

Camera

Another blogging conference essential is your camera. Sure, your iPhone probably takes pretty decent photos but you totally won’t regret bringing along your camera.

Mini Steamer

I don’t know about you but when I travel my clothes get super wrinkly. I’m not a huge fan of using the iron so I prefer to use a steamer. Bringing along a mini steamer will help you get those stubborn wrinkles out of your clothes with little effort.

Pen & Paper

The classic pen and paper is a total conference essential, especially if it’s a day that you didn’t bring your laptop.

Straightener/ Curling Iron

This is another thing that I always forget because I don’t do my hair on a daily basis because #workfromhomelife. I don’t know if I’ll do my hair every single day of the conference but it is definitely something I want to bring with me.

Good attitude

Let’s be real, conferences are exciting but they can be pretty tiring so make sure to bring your good attitude every day because you don’t know who will be watching.

Your Turn:

What would you bring to a blogging conference? Please feel free to let me know down in the comments
