If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you probably know that last week I got the opportunity to attend a really cool overnight media event with Volkswagen called the Volkswagen media drive where we got the opportunity to test drive their newest SUV, the Atlas. It was my very first overnight travel event and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to attend more in the near future. Let’s discuss the newest addition to the VW fam, shall we?
Volkswagen Media Drive
The VW Atlas is the company’s first seven-seater SUV and I’m so stoked that I got to be one of the first to test drive it. I’ve been a proud Volkswagen owner since 2007 so I was used to how their cars drive but I had never really driven an SUV before so to say I was a little bit nervous is kind of an understatement.
I’m not quite sure why I was so nervous to drive this SUV because it was an absolute breeze and once I got behind the wheel, I felt like a natural. We drove through the winding hills of Boerne, Texas to Fredricksburg, Texas which is about an hour away. The drive was very scenic and enjoyable with a few pretty stops along the way. This SUV is equipped with a Fender sound system, the ability to fit 3 car seats side by side, and luxurious comfort to boot so basically, it’d be the perfect SUV to take across the country.
Once we got to Fredricksburg we stopped at a beautiful wildflower farm to get tons of cool photos of the car. We ate lunch at a cute spot in Fredricksburg before heading back to Boerne.
Overall, I give the VW Atlas an A+! I’m no car expert, but it’s luxurious features make it a contender in my book. It doesn’t hurt that I got to meet quite a few other lovely ladies from across the US either.
