We rang in the New Year in Dallas which was such a fun time so I figured why not share a quick travel guide with y’all. I’m going to be sharing some top restaurants in Dallas.
Top Restaurants in Dallas
Places to Eat
Crushcraft //
This was a trip of trying new things for me. One night we had Thai food at Crushcraft and surprisingly, I enjoyed it.
Oni Ramen //
I had never had ramen before and I am a relatively picky eater so I was pretty nervous at first but it was so good and now I’m a ramen addict.
Ellen’s //
This is like the perfect brunch spot. The menu had a huge variety from sweet options like pancakes and french toast to more savory picks like migas.
Velvet Taco //
This was such a fun little taco shop. I had the buffalo chicken taco and a picnic chicken taco and both were absolutely delicious.
Places to Drink
The Independent //
We just had drinks here but I know they offer brunch, lunch, and dinner as well. It was a really chill environment and not too expensive.
Off the Record //
This bar kind of gave me 6th street bar vibes (if you’ve ever been to 6th street in Austin, then you know what I’m talking about). It was a regular bar but it had records stashed throughout the bar which you could bring up to the DJ and have them play.
Truth and Alibi //
I had never been to a speakeasy before but this one was really cool. It is hidden behind a candy store and you have to give the password to get in. Inside, it is dark and has comfy and glamorous couches and chairs.
The Old Monk //
This is another bar that also serves food although we did not try the food here. It’s a chill bar with a variety of beer, wines, and mixed drinks.
Texas Truck Yard //
This is a fun little outdoor bar that has a few different food truck options to choose from to eat at. We only went for a little bit because it was freezing in Dallas when we were there but I think this would be a perfect spot in the spring and fall when it’s a little warmer outside.
