Happy Monday, friends! This weekend I was able to shoot with one of my sorority sisters and fellow bloggers Silvia from The Lovely Silvia! She did such a good job with these photos, I’m seriously impressed. We shot at the Pearl in San Antonio and it’s such a beautiful location. In the spirit of blogging, today I will be talking about 3 reasons to start a lifestyle blog.

3 Reasons to Start a Lifestyle Blog
Reason #1 For a creative outlet
When I first started blogging, my main reason going into it was being able to find a creative outlet from my extremely unfulfilling internship. I wanted a place where I could write about whatever my heart desired including fashion, beauty, goal setting and day to day life. Flash forward to today, I have been able to utilize this space as a creative outlet in addition to earning a little side income, which is undoubtedly one of the best perks of having a blog…because who wouldn’t want to make some cash from something that they love?
Reason #2 To build a community
Building a community is a huge aspect of blogging but wasn’t something I really realized was possible until after the fact. I was able to make a ton of blogging friends and connect with people from all around the globe. Being able to build an online tribe has been a blessing because sometimes your real life friends just don’t understand your blogging struggles.
Reason #3: Expand your knowledge
Before starting a blog, I didn’t know a thing about WordPress and my PhotoShop skills were lacking to say the very least. Throughout the last two and half years, I have been able to learn more about the blogging industry, social media, and so much more. This has expanded my knowledge and resume and I’m continuing to learn new things every day.
