The holiday season is upon us and I couldn’t be more excited. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and I never feel completely on top of things during this time because there’s always so much to do. This year I am starting early and trying to knock out all of my Christmas shopping by Cyber Monday…Let’s hope this actually happens. Now without further ado, my post on prepping for the holidays.
Prepping for the Holidays
Set a budget // I know this is pretty self-explanatory but I thought that I would mention it anyway. Set a realistic budget before you even begin to think about holiday shopping so that you don’t break the bank and completely overspend without realizing it.
Knock out your gift buying process early // I like to get the majority of my gifts purchased during November so that when December rolls around I am not running around like a chicken with my head cut off frantically trying to scoop up gifts for everyone in my life.
Take advantage of any sale you can // I know the holidays are not only stressful but also pretty expensive, so make sure to take advantage of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and any other sales out there leading up to the holiday season…and then maybe you can buy yourself a little something too 😉
Ship the gift straight to the recipient // If you’re buying something online, make sure to ship your gift straight to the recipient if you won’t be seeing them during the holidays. This makes your life a whole lot easier and you don’t have to pay for shipping twice. You can also get the item gift wrapped from most retailers. It’s a win-win because you save some money and they get to receive your gift early…and who doesn’t love receiving packages?
I will be doing at least one gift guide per week every week up until Christmas so be on the look out for those. You can find my first gift guide of the season here.
How you do you prepare for the holiday season? Let me know down in the comments.
