Hey y’all, happy Friday! I am so ready for the weekend to kick back and relax a little bit. The holiday weekend made this week last an eternity so I am glad that we finally made it to Friday. I didn’t even think that this was possible , but my pageviews were even lower this month. I am pretty crushed by this because I have been working really hard to better my blog but I have heard that traffic typically takes a plunge from April until August(ish) because people are out and about enjoying the sunshine, not cooped up on their computers checking out blogs so I am going to give myself a little leniency these next few months. My plan is to continue to work on building great content and my social media channels even if the pageviews aren’t exactly what I want them to be. Although my blog traffic wasn’t amazing this month, funny enough, I made the most money from my blog during May so that’s a definite win in my book. I guess more pageviews don’t always translate to more opportunities so that is really encouraging. If you’re interested check out my previous traffic report and see my progress. Now without further ado, onto my May traffic report.
May Traffic Report
Like I mentioned above, May’s traffic report was pretty underwhelming and even less than I got last month so I am just riding out the wave and continuing to focus on the blog and making awesome content regardless.
-Post more often on Instagram (ideally 3x a week) I did this and have gained more engagement because of it!
-Spend at least 10 minutes per day interacting on Instagram – So I don’t think I spent 10 minutes per day interacting on Instagram but I definitely interacted a lot more than usual and tried to put extra effort into liking and commenting on other’s posts.
-900 Facebook Likes I just barely hit this goal, but I made it!
– 1,850 Twitter followers – I was only 4 off from 1,850 so I’m going to count this as a half win.
6,700 Pinterest Followers Definitely did this! Pinterest is probably one of my easiest social media channels to grow.
Continue working on completing my e-courses Although I haven’t finished any of the couple that I am currently in, I have been working towards finishing them little by little so that’s an accomplishment.
May Blogging Goals:
- Continue engaging on Instagram for at least 10-15 minutes a day
- Post 3x a week on Instagram at the very least
- 1,000 Facebook Likes
- 1,875 Twitter followers
- 7,300 Pinterest Followers
- Continue working through the e-courses I’ve purchased
- Begin updating older Pinterest graphics to drive more traffic to the blog
- Write more evergreen posts
