Over Memorial Day Weekend, my husband and I headed to Las Vegas. It was both of our second times in the city and we had an absolute blast. Today I’m sharing a Las Vegas travel guide including some awesome restaurants, activities, and more. If you’ve never been to Vegas before, you’re going to want to check this post out because it will probably want to make you book a flight to Vegas like immediately. Let’s jump into the Las Vegas travel guide, shall we?
Las Vegas Travel Guide
Places to go
Planet Hollywood
We really enjoyed gambling at this casino namely because it was across the street from our hotel (The Cosmopolitan) and also because they had cheap tables during the weekdays.
Paris
The Paris casino is one of my favorites. They make it seem like you’re standing underneath the Eiffel Tower. This casino also has pretty cheap tables during the weekdays so we gambled here a lot.
Caesar’s Palace
If you go to Vegas, you just have to go into Caesar’s Palace at least once. We ate at one of their buffets and the food was amazing, albeit a little pricey.
Freemont Street
The old Vegas Strip is really cool, especially at night when they have all of the lights on. The slot machines here are supposed to be looser than those on the Strip but who really knows if there is any truth to that. We walked around and checked out the lights and popped into a few of the older casinos to check them out.
Cirque Du Soleil Show
I’ve gone to a Cirque show with every trip to Vegas and it’s been my favorite experience each time. The shows are a bit weird in content but the tricks that the performers do are so impressive and makes for great entertainment. I’ve seen both Beatles Love and Mystere and they didn’t disappoint.
Food
Todd’s English Pub
This place is great if you’re looking to get a good beer and good food to boot. It’s located in the mall inside of the Aria hotel and had an extensive drink and food menu so everyone could find something they liked here.
Yardbird
I think that this was one of my favorite meals in Vegas. They served chicken, waffles, and watermelon and it was surprisingly REALLY good. As Texans, we really appreciated a good Southern meal and Yardbird provided us with just that.
Momofuku
I can’t really tell ya how to pronounce this restaurant because I don’t really know how to myself but they had amazing buns. I had the chicken karage bun and it was basically fried chicken and spicy mayo on a “bun” – can you say yum?
Yardhouse
We have a YardHouse in San Antonio that we frequent but we were looking for a lunch place that wasn’t going to break the bank and we found that in YardHouse. They have a pretty extensive drink and food menu so everyone will be able to find something good to eat here.
Lillie’s Asian Cuisine
We had our meal hibachi style here and it was so good! I haven’t had hibachi in so long so I was super stoked and Lillie’s definitely did me good.
