Who else cannot believe how quickly this month/year have been flying by? I surely can’t. I also can’t believe that it’s been exactly month since Michael and I got married. Time is just flying by. Unfortunately, we still have two more weeks until we get our wedding photos back but I absolutely cannot wait to see them. This is one of my first travel posts on the blog and I have plans to do quite a few more of them in the new year since we will be traveling quite a bit. Now onto the Jamaica travel guide at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay.
Jamaica Travel Guide
Places to stay:
I’d recommend any of the resorts for honeymooners including Sandals, Secrets, and Couples if you’re looking for a child free honeymoon. We stayed at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay and had an absolute blast but there are ton of other amazing resorts to chose from in Jamaica. I know the Sandals has at least 6 other resorts in Jamaica to choose from and there are quite a few Secrets and Couples locations in Jamaica as well. There was a variety of different ages at our resort (from newlyweds to 50+ year anniversary celebrations) but we met a few awesome couples around our age to hangout with during our stay in Jamaica.
Things to do:
Chukka Zip-lining // This was our only true excursion during our honeymoon and we had tons of fun. I honestly wish I had a GoPro so we could’ve filmed this experience. We went zip-lining through the jungle and I basically felt like Tarzan. It’s a little scary because you’re so high up and zip-lining from tree to tree but it’s honestly an invigorating experience if you’re into thrills and seeing beautiful landscape as you cruise through the jungle.
Go to town in Montego Bay // The town of Montego Bay was fun to look at and had some cute little shops to go into. They also had a huge Margaritaville with slides going down into the water which was pretty awesome. It was a little touristy, but as a tourist…I truly cannot complain.
Water activities // When in the Caribbean, you need to do at least a few water activities. There’s snorkeling, catamaran rides, jetskiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and more. Our resort offered all of these water excursions so that was a definite bonus.
Relax on the beach // If you’re on your honeymoon, you’re going to want to take a little time to relax. We spent a lot of our time relaxing on the beach and hanging out in the pool and hot tub.
I hope you enjoyed my Jamaica travel guide. Have you ever been to Jamaica? What did you do while you were there? Please feel free to let me know down in the comments.
