27 Personal Goals Before 27

January 8, 2018

Long time, no talk – that’s for sure. As soon as I got back from my holiday break, I got a nasty cold so it pushed back my regular posting schedule for last week but that’s completely okay. Last Thursday was my 26th birthday so I thought what better time than now to do a 27 before 27 personal goals list. The last time I did this was the 25 before 25 and that was so much fun to do so I thought I would bring this personal goals challenge back this year.

Today I'm sharing my 27 before 27 list. Ready to rock my 26th year of life. - 27 Personal Goals Before 27 by popular San Antonio lifestyle blogger Breakfast at Lilly's

27 BEFORE 27 PERSONAL GOALS

  1. Become consistent with going to the gym and make it a habit //
This is something I try to do every single year but I haven’t been as successful as I hoped. This year, I want to make the gym something that is nonnegotiable for me.
  2. Participate in a Whole30 challenge //
I’m planning to take on the Whole30 in February and I’m excited but also nervous. I don’t know how long I will last, but I’m ready to try.
  3. Drink more Water //
In 2016, I got really good about drinking water every day but I didn’t do as well in 2017 so I’m making it one of my goals to tackle this year.
  4. Do a deep clean of my entire life //
Not going to lie, my apartment is always a total mess and that’s because I have so many things that I don’t have a home for so I need to get rid of those things that don’t have a home.
  5. Replenish my emergency fund //
Last year my emergency fund kind of got used as a regular checking account which is obviously no good so this year I plan to try and replenish it and build it back up again.
  6. Get rid of any clothing that I no longer love //
I have a ton of clothes that I barely ever wear anymore so I need to do a massive purge and get rid of it all.
  7. Read 12 Books //
I love reading so I want to commit to reading at least one book per month. If you have any recommendations for me, leave them down below.
  8. Try new foods more often //
I’ve been more adventurous with my eating over the past few years so I’m hoping to continue branching out.
  9. Nurture my relationships better //
Sometimes I can be pretty anti-social so nurturing my current relationships – friends, family, and of course, romantic is something I need to focus on more.
  10. Get on a better working schedule //
In the winter my motivation seems to be a lot lower than usual so I haven’t been as on top of my schedule as I should. Ideally, I’d like to wrap up my work day earlier so I’m not spending all night working instead of spending time with my husband.
  11. Collaborate more with online business owners //
Collaborating has been huge for my blog and business so I want to do more of that in my 26th year of life. I have at least one biz collab in the works but would love to have more thrown in the mix so if you want to collaborate with me? Let me know.
  12. Travel to a new place //
I love traveling so I’d love to travel to at least one new city in 2018. Regardless, I’d just be happy to travel at all since I enjoy it so much.
  13. Focus on doing more of the things that I love //
Doing the things that I love are what make me the most happy so I want to do more of those thigns because that’s what life is all about, right?
  14. Stop overthinking everything //
I’m a chronic overthinker so this is something I really need to work on. It can totally hinder my ability to get things done sometimes so I want to do less of that this year.
  15. Say no more often //
I am such a people pleaser and that doesn’t always work in my favor so I really need to say more often.
  16. Pay off my credit card debt //
Unfortunately this year I racked up some credit card debt so I want to pay it off completely this year so that I can achieve financial freedom once again.
  17. Work on being cleaner around the house //
I’m a relatively messy person and I’d love to change that so working towards becoming a neater person is a must.
  18. Celebrate the little things in life //
The little things should be celebrated more often so I want to do just that this year.
  19. Spend more time with my friends and family //
My friends and family are the most important people in my life so being able to spend more time with them is something I’d love to do.
  20. Be more adventurous //
I am a very calculated person and need to embrace the spontainety a little more instead of having every aspect of my life so planned.
  21. Work on creating more passive income //
Passive income will give me more time to spend with friends and family so I am all over making it more of a thing this year.
  22. Cook more meals at home //
I got better at this the last couple months of 2017 but I want to continue cooking at home more often in 2018. This will help us save more money too.
  23. Take better care of myself //
Self-care is very important and it’s not something I always focus on so it’s something I plan to implement in my 26th year of life.
  24. Work smarter, not harder //
Working smarter is so important to me because I don’t want to be spending 12 hours working each day when I can do the same amount of work in a shorter period of time.
  25. Go to New York City during Christmastime //
I’ve always wanted to go to NYC during Christmas so I’m hoping to make this dream a reality this year.
  26. Focus on buying quality over quantity //
As I get older, I realize the importance of quality over quantity so this is something that I want to implement even more this year.
  27. Schedule more coffee dates //
This kind of goes along with making more time for friends and family but having coffee dates (virtual and in person) always leaves me feeling inspired so I’d love to do more of that.
