This year I am trying my hardest to be healthy because I’m not getting any younger so it’s important to set health resolutions for myself so I can hold myself accountable for my health this year. Also, I’m excited because this is my first photoshoot since April or May 2016. I have missed taking photos for the blog and I’m so happy that I’m back in action. I’m going to try to do at least 2 outfit posts per month if at all possible. Now let’s jump into my 2017 health resolutions, shall we? If you’re interested in checking out any of my other goals for 2017 go here.

Drink more water // This year I want to focus on drinking a lot more water and less soda, alcohol, and the like. In 2016, I did a lot better with this but I am always striving to do better with this goal because water is the best.
Workout at least 3x a week // So my actual goal is to go to the gym every single weekday but I absolutely need to go to the gym 3x a week in 2017. Now that I’m self-employed, my schedule is more flexible so fitting in workouts is a lot easier for me. I am not someone who likes to just hop on the elliptical because that’s pretty boring so I tend to be interested in going to classes like Zumba, Barre, and Dance Jam (which is a high energy hip hop class).
Cook more often // As some of you may already know, I’m definitely not a cook so I really want to focus on figuring out a few key go-to recipes so that I’m not just eating frozen dinners like Lean Cuisines or buying those healthy pre-cooked meals from HEB that cost and arm and leg because all you have to do is pop them in the oven.
Make better decisions when eating // I’m a bit of a picky eater so I need to work towards making better decisions when we go out to eat. I usually opt for pasta, a burger, or even chicken fingers so I need to expand my taste buds and make healthier choices when we’re eating out.
