Hello and happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend – I know that I sure did but as usual I am not ready to get back to work today. Monday’s are not my thing at all. Since it’s already mid-April, I felt like it would be fitting to do a little check in and see how I am coming along on my 2016 goals. I have made some decent progress thus far but I could always be doing better. Without further ado, my 2016 goals revisited.
2016 Goals Revisited
Go to the gym more often & make it a habit + work on being healthier overall // So I have been healthier overall with my eating habits and giving up soda but I am still getting into the groove of making the gym part of my routine. This is something that I hope to continue integrating into my schedule throughout the year.
Make more time for myself // I haven’t really implemented this if we’re being honest. I am still always on the go and forgetting to do my skin care routine or take a breather for a little bit but I hope to work towards this before the end of the year.
Take more pictures with Michael // I still suck at documenting our fun times together. This is a work in progress for sure.
Read 15 books // So I have read 9/15 books so I am not doing terrible but I’d like to step up my game and read two books a month each month if possible.
Be more present // I have gotten a little better at this surprisingly. I try to limit my blogging time to when Michael’s at school and when he’s in bed so that we can spend a little more time together. Enjoy the wedding planning process & just being a fiance // So far, so good. I mean of course there have been some moments when I was stressed out but I haven’t let it get to me too much so I am very thankful for that.
Save money // I have still been consistently putting $200 from every paycheck into a savings account so this goal has been going pretty steady.
Start retirement fund // Still haven’t implemented this just yet. I made the account but I don’t have any money transferring into the account just yet. Baby steps here. I need to just stop being lazy and set it up.
Create savings account for paying off student loans & start paying them off // I have created the account and will probably start making my payments next month so that I am not accruing too much interest and wanting to rip my hair out whenever my grad school loans become due.
Make all A’s in my grad school courses // So far, so good. I have finished one class in 2016 with an A and my second course of the year ends in a month and I am on track to continue doing this.
Become Google Analytics certified // I haven’t really made time to focus on this just yet but hope to get on it this summer once work has slowed down a little bit and officially get my certification.
Take more beneficial courses // I am enrolled in a few ecourses that are sure to help me learn more within my industry and further my blogging. The best part about them is that you can go at your own pace instead of having deadlines each week.
I feel like I am doing alright with my 2016 goals but I could definitely be doing a little better. I am ready to kick it up a notch and make sure that I can achieve all of my goals before the year is over. Who’s with me? Hope y’all enjoyed my 2016 goals revisited.
