Today I wanted to showcase a holiday mocktail recipe for those of you who aren’t really big drinkers. Tonight is one of the biggest partying/drinking nights of the year, so I wanted to make a drink recipe that absolutely everyone can enjoy. If you enjoy a good cocktail, you can always spice this drink up a bit if you would like. The mocktail I chose to showcase is a little more summery but with the warmer weather we’ve been having in Texas this winter, it’s just right. This drink is perfect for any holiday occasion or party and your guests will definitely love it. Yesterday I mentioned that I was going to show my barcart but the lighting in my apartment is completely terrible and natural light was not my friend yesterday so that will be postponed for another time.
Holiday Mocktail Recipe
To make this holiday mocktail you’re only going to need 3 simple ingredients:
– Dasani Lime Sparkling Water
– 100% cherry juice (I used the juice from a bottle of maraschino cherries but you can buy cherry juice if you prefer)
– lime wedges or cherries (optional)
First you add a cup of Dasani Lime Sparkling Water into your glass, then you add 1/2 cup of Sprite, and then to finish it off I added a cup of cherry juice. I decided not to use limes as a garnish but you could do that to make the holiday mocktail recipe just a little more fancy. I used my favorite gold polka dot glasses and a gold and white striped straw to make the drink look a little more festive. It was fun to actually make the drink and use my bar cart for more than just a cute home decoration.
If you’re not a huge lime person, then don’t sweat it because Dasani sparkling water comes in a multitude of flavors including Black Cherry, Lemon, Lime, and Berry. They come in a 12 pack and can be purchased exclusively at Walmart. The best part about the sparkling water is that it has zero calories, no caffeine, no artificial flavors and is unsweetened. I think a strawberry lemonade spritzer would be perfect for the summer time so I may have to try that one out once summer rolls around.

I hope everyone has a fabulous time ringing in the New Year tonight and I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings. Happy early New Year everyone!
