So a few months back Kate over at Kate the Almost Great started a series based on sharing the results of her traffic and her journey to getting 20,000 monthly unique pageviews on Google Analytics. You can find her first post regarding the topic here. Her series really inspired me to start my own journey to increase my monthly pageviews so here I am. Today I will be sharing my August traffic report in full.
I am going to start by working on increasing my monthly pageviews to 10,000 and once I reach that goal, I will increase the goal to 20,000 just because I feel like it may be a little less scary to do it in chunks. Since this is my first month of doing this, my September Traffic Report will have the compared results.
August Traffic Report
Unique pageviews – 3,299
Bounce rate – 57.19%
Sessions – 1,878
Sessions – 1,878
Users – 1,289
Google Friend Connect – 11 followers
Bloglovin – 237 followers
Next month, I will be showing you my improved stats and what I feel worked and what I didn’t really notice any results from. For now I am going to share with you some goals that I want to achieve over the next month in terms of attaining 10,000 monthly pageviews.
September Blogging Goals:
– Work on becoming more fluent in SEO and getting myself more noticeable on search engines
– Be more active in blogging Facebook groups
– Attend webinars and classes to better my blogging strategies (already have two scheduled and it’s only the 2nd!)
– Attend weekly Twitter chats
I’m super excited to start this series and eventually attain 10,000 monthly pageviews and then go from there.
